How to Achieve This Hairstyle

First, it should be known that this hairstyle is actually a wig. Sydney’s hairstylist, Glen Oropeza, shared how to prep her hair for the wig as well as how to style the wig to create her Met Gala look. Here’s what he shared on social media. You can watch his video on Instagram.

First: Prepping hair prior to applying the wig

• To prep Sydney’s damp hair, he directly applied Kerastase Serum Extentioniste on the scalp and massaged it in.
• He then created a center part and applied Kerastase Elixir Ultime from roots to ends.
• Begin wrapping the hair flat around the head, brushing as you go, and secure it with clips.

Next: Applying and Styling the Wig

• Apply the wig and secure it with hair pins around the nape of the neck. Cut it to the desired length that complements the face shape.
• Dampen the wig with water, then apply Kerastase Premiere Serum Filler for a little glide to the hair before cutting to the desired length. Add Kerastase Mousse Bouffant, and air dry for a natural wavy texture.
• To dry the bangs, use a blow dryer and a round brush. Set the dryer to medium heat and direct the dryer down the cuticle of the hair to smooth.
• Set the flat iron to 390 degrees to create the texture. Go back and forth to create flat waves.
• To finish the look, spray Kerastase Laque Extreme Hair Spray and, of course, Kerastase Elixir Ultime for extra shine for the red carpet!
